The Erie County Fair has announced The Spinners have been added to the 2015 Grandstand Lineup as a FREE concert, with gate admission. This is the first FREE concert announcement for the 2015 Fair, and the fourth concert to be added to the National Grid Concert Series. The band will be taking the stage August 19, 2015 at the GUSTO Grandstand with a show beginning at 7:30pm.
The Spinners have been dubbed “ambassadors of soul” as an R&B/Soul group with its roots in Detroit. The group formed and found success in the 70s, where they were eventually signed by Motown Records. Though the group has not created music since 1983, they continue to receive radio airplay, as the music has been described as “timeless” and as having “universal appeal.”
Through their nearly fifty years active, The Spinners, have recorded nineteen studio albums, five of which broke the Top Five on R&B charts in the US. Hits have included “Rubberband Man,” “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love,” and “Working My Way Back to You/ Forgive Me Girl.”
