Fair Poster Gets Makeover

October 10, 2013. A rare poster dating back to the 1883 Erie County Fair that was originally found tucked away in a house attic on Kraus Road in Clarence, NY will begin its restoration process. Work on this 130-year-old ‘billboard’ style poster will be done by paper conservator Laura Schell; once complete, the conserved poster will not look new, the fragile object will be stabilized, and appearance of damages will be minimized.
