Hamburg Casino Brings ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic To The Event Center

The Erie County Fair may be over but the fun and excitement continue as Hamburg Casino at the Fairgrounds presents “Weird Al” Yankovic – The Alpocalypse Tour. “Weird Al” Yankovic has sold more records than any other comedy artist in history and is an American pop culture icon.

The three-time Grammy Award winner will be performing live Oct. 4 at the Fairgrounds Event Center adjacent to the casino in Hamburg, N.Y. Weird Al has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and has spent the past three decades creating more than 150 parodies and original songs such as “Eat It,” “Like a Surgeon” and “Perform This Way.” His latest album, “Alpocalypse,” was a Billboard Top 10.

“Weird Al in concert is beyond description,” said Chase Lough, marketing director at Hamburg Casino. “Imagine your favorite video coming to life. Whether he is on stage doing, “Smells Like Nirvana,” his parody of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” or “Fat” in his full body suit doing his parody of “Bad” by Michael Jackson, he puts forth 150 percent in every performance. His expansive music career has allowed him to touch virtually every genre of music.”
